Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko, a Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai MMA fighter from Peru, and mixed martial artist who is fighting for in the UFC at the flyweight division,, is an Kyrgyzstani. She is the younger sister of the fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her professional journey as a Muay Thai boxer. Her debut was in 2003, at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won the tournament and defeated Suzane Milliner with a unanimous verdict. Antonina Shevchenko was awarded a second medal in 2007, a bronze in 2008, and a gold medal in 2011 and was crowned in the position of IFMA Amateur World Muay Thai Champion in the year 2016. Antonia launched her professional career when she was in the year 2003. Antonina has been awarded numerous awards, such as the World WKC K-1 Light Welterweight Championships the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships and WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's most recent fight took place against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was able to win with a majority. Antonina shevchenko recorded her first professional MMA fight in 2002 with Anara bayanova in the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She was victorious in the second round TKO, and then won 2 more fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to achieve a record of 3-0. Shevchenko was a dedicated kickboxer after which she took a lengthy absence of MMA. She returned in 2017, when she fought Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko beat Anissa by a unanimous vote. She was able to defeat Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. The promotion ended in 2018 to join Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina knocked out Nievera using her striking skills that were superior in the final clinch with knees placed on her body. Following this victory Antonina was able to sign a UFC contract. Antonina made her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, in a fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko took victory in a unanimous decision, but she fell in the second round to Roxanne Modafferi on an undisputed split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss, and defeated Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke, and was awarded the prize of the night during the bout. Shevchenko went 2-2 in the next three fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski and lost to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina was recently defeated by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
