Kim Delaney was an American actress. She is most famous for her character, Detective Diane Russell, in the ABC drama series NYPD Blue. For this she was awarded an Emmy Award. Her credits are All My Children Philly CSI: Miami and Army Wives. Delaney is the daughter of an executive from the United Auto Workers who was also an auntie. Delaney has four older brothers. In her early years she was aspired to become an official in the courtroom. But after she graduated from high school and relocating to New York in the 1980s, she began modeling. In 1981, she appeared as an innocent teen in the film All My Children. Delaney, a young actress who was in her 20s, appeared in a variety of TV films and dramas. Like her career, her personal life hasn't been a success or happy one. In the past, this accomplished actress battled alcoholism and had two marriages fail. In 2005, she was denied the custody of her son.
